update on ultimate

another english entry, it's been a while...
at the moment I'm watching old frisbee videos, e.g. some from the Candle Cup last year in Braunschweig. I've good memories with this tournament, the funniest ones got recorded and put on youtube:

I unfortunately don't get a high disc in the endzone, but then a handblock, which Wayne tries to turn into a callaghan, but the defence just takes the disc of him and so it's not even a turn. Well, in the end I still score that point...
so, apart from reliving old memories, I'm getting prepared to leave to Kiel, to play the german mixed championship. whooo, I'm excited! it seems ages since I've played my last tournament, in the past months there were only training-days (or I was on holiday) ... I could even bake for the team again (stupid players from Kiel won't have any), since our WG is now a proud owner of a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven!!! also self-made bread tastes so much better!

back to topic: practise hasn't been that much fun recently, I feel so damn slow and unfit as I haven't been in a long time. but what to expect? after having worn myself out in spring/ early summer summer this year I first took a break, then started playing again for a week, went on holiday for 1,5, then came back to practise for another 2 and finally went on holiday for 2 weeks. I wish I had just one more month to fully prepare for London. oh my god, London! I'm usually not thinking about it much, makes me nervous. although I seem to be the only one in our team. whatever, it'll be a great experience. and I'll give my best not to get injured as another girl in our team did, just last week. sucks so much!

so, Bhava will be here any minute and I need to finish packing.
yay, I'm going to a tournament!
:)

Good luck Lia! I've been playing ultimate still since I've been back home for a year, and the women's team I play with (Filthy Gorgeous) was just in our local paper.
