einmal anhalten bitte! ansonsten danke für den spirit!

die faulheit siegt, letztes mal deutsch, diesmal englisch...
well, (great word to start with...argh) that I have time to sit down and write, just a few news, nothing really important, either means I wanna practise english or this is just to prapare for bigger things, e.g. it involves any higher purpose.

there´s been a lot of ultimate in the last weeks. 2 weeks ago in Leipzig, I played "Novembernebel" with MOTHER TONGUE. Since I was so fussy and nervous I couldn´t wait to get on the field and run run run. Of course not at the first point, common! this is one of the aspects of my paradox personality... anyways, the games were continuos, meaning no stops after scores, and in the end that probably broke our neck´s. despite me having the impression we all did quite good, the stats showed differnt and we lost all our games. I suppose we were more of a pick-up team and without knowing each other´s way of playing it was twice as hard to cope with the non-stop-mode. (I´m aware of my confusing way of expression, doesn´t mean, I´m gonna change it). Of course there was a party goin on and other stuff beyond the field, still I feel the ultimate has been the most important thing during that tournament - unlike other ones, where I can´t remeber many other things then party- /people-related stuff. that´s why I won´t mention any of the rest, expect for thanks again to Linda who made us feeling home and - which is even better - was caught by the spirit and started to practise in Leipzig. yay!!!

last weekend there was the "Winterflug" in Berlin where I joined the HALLE BERRIES. I had met them before and both "captain" and team turned out to be lots of fun and I was grateful to have had the chance to play with a different team than FRAU RAUSCHER and therefor make other experiences. First of all: Again, it was kind of a pick-up-team and continous play AGAIN so chances weren´t that great to win all games. Actually, we won one. BUT we got better through the whole tournament, became more of a team and ...yes.. let´s say, kicked some ass. I like to think back to 2 defence-blocks I did, not as much to just a few scores. Something funny I noticed was that Lori, playing with the MAINZELMÄDCHEN, a more focused and serious team, just found the perfect women to play with, as I did with HALLE BERRIES, although both were kind of ...different. neither her nor me wouldn´t wanna change.. ;)

conclusion: both were my first tournaments I played with a foreign mixed/ women´s team and since there are no signs of regreting (letter bombs, dead cats etc) I must have done well. Lori even told me she thinks I´m getting better every time she sees me on the field and I´m very glad about this comment because I have the same impression. I know I´m still miles away from what you can call a "ultimate player" (especially when it comes to throwing or catching under pressure), despite that I now have more orientation and a better feeling for the disc.
anyways, I love ultimate! the spirit, the idea, the running! essentially it is the only thing I kept up with for over a year, apropos: in december there will be my anniversary-tournament, 1 year, can´t believe it... I should have a party! but my life´s too busy, still.
sometime I wish I could just get out of this mary-go-round and rest for a second. or two. probably not very uncommon to say these things in the busiest time of the year. whatever happens, frisbee will always be a priority. and to give the preparation talk a sense:
next time I´ll tell you why life should me more like ulitmate!

Hey - Faulheit obsiegt! Ich hatte mir auch nur vorgenommen, meinen Blog in beiden Sprachen zu schreiben. Dazu ist es nie gekommen.
